These are some initial logo designs. The signature was scanned in and the images i edited in Illustrator before transferring them into photoshop, i had to ensure the quality was great enough to use the imagery at all sizes.
I have never used illustrator before so this was a challenge, i have found that all the Adobe programmes are similar and using a combination of them really helped me visualise my designs.
Kate has her own style with her sketches and plans for her pots, finding a way to link her work with my graphic design style without losing touch of either style was crucial for the final outcomes.
The best way i find to overcome this problem is to brainstorm a mixture of my ideas and compositions and then we will have a meeting for an hour everyday to explore new concepts and development. once we had reached a educated design decision, Kate will then draw the idea out in her style for me to scan and edit into the logo and numerous other tasks i have been briefed to do.
These daily critiques are extremely helpful and i greatly value her expert opinion as this filed of design is completely new to me.
